Firefox extension battle. The NoScript Firefox extension faced a
major backlash last week when users discovered that it was
surreptitiously disrupting the operation of AdBlock Plus. The
developers behind the two extensions turned the browser into a

violation. The case is being brought by Erich Specht and Android Data

Office 2007 adds
Open Document
support. Microsoft said on Tuesday that it is
releasing the second service pack update for Office 2007. The
collection of minor updates is available for download. The service
pack includes a collection of stability and performance updates as
well as support for more file formats including Open Document Format
(ODF) and Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Microsoft had said
last May that it would add support for the additional file formats.

Life. Three-dimensional data storage has been
a dream since the early 1960s, but GE thinks it's the company to
finally make the technology realize its promise. GE Global Research,
GE's technology development arm, announced yesterday that it has
developed a holographic storage material that can support 500
gigabytes of data storage capacity in a standard DVD-sized disc.
